Lindfield 2 - Wasps 3rds 3

DSC 2329

Lindfield v EGTFC 3rds

Wasps thirds carried on their winning ways and clinched promotion and are just one game away of winning the title.

On a very poor playing surface James Tester once again was provider for Arron Morton who hit a screamer of a right foot curler (his weaker foot) leaving their keeper no chance.

In the second half Chris Lancashire for the second week running provided a pin point pass to George Saunders who slotted home Wasps second.

Lindfield upped their game and soon pulled a goal back when Wasps unfortunately lost centre back Chris Lancashire to a red card and poor decision from the referee. Lindfield soon levelled the score making the last ten minutes of game very tense with goal keeper Jordan Jenner having to make some very good and important saves before George Saunders held the ball up for Sam Tester who curled the ball around the keeper and saved the day for the Wasps

Jordon Jenner was once again called on in a frantic last second scramble.

Wasps have now got to wait a few weeks before their next game for the opportunity to clinch the title but it could be won without kicking a ball if results go their way

If not the title could be won on their final game of their season which is at home.
