It’s been a tough start to the season obviously and we have been working hard behind the scenes to make sure we turn the corner and sooner rather than later.

In our last game against Chichester in the cup we won 5-0 and only two players in the squad were over 22 with no less than 6 under 18 players in the squad, we were delighted with their contribution and now welcome Alex Bellingham, Evan Tinsley and Christian Burgess into the squad on a regular basis. This is great to see and these lads certainly have a bright future and have already been at the club a number of years. Alongside that we have made a number of signings and spent a number of hours on the training ground getting a better understanding of what we want to do. I am delighted to welcome Levi Phillips from Carlshalton who has added pace and an attacking threat to our play, also giving us similar qualities is Simon Offei who has previously been at Sutton United and Whytleafe, we have secured Ross Barclay for a further month’s loan from Lewes after his first month with us. Another arrival is the talented midfielder TJ Bramble who joins on loan from Gillingham FC, and last but not least is centre forward Steve Smith who signs from Folkestone Invicta.

We are still looking at adding two more experienced players to the squad over the coming weeks to then allow us to push ourselves where we need to be. As supporters I appreciate the continued support as do the rest of the staff and squad and hopefully we can start giving you more to cheer about over the coming weeks.

On the staff front I am also delighted to welcome back physio Shannon, who will join us in a couple of weeks due to an operation, but I’m glad to have her back at the club after leaving Hythe Town FC.

It’s been a tough couple of months but it’s a long season and we have a stronger group of players that are here to develop and do well for the club let’s hope we can now see us climb the table as soon as possible .

I hope to see as many of you there as possible Saturday.

Cheers Matt
