Off-season Update

ground3

Manager Matt Longhurst has been busy planning and preparing for next season over the last few months and here’s who helping him this season and what he had to say about each.

I’m delighted to announce Grant Hearn as my new assistant manager Grant has worked with me in various roles since I have been at the club and will give the players a real understanding of what the clubs values are having been here for over 20 years player manager and coach and will also work closely with Bob and George Wallis and the under 18s ensuring we have that path way of progression into the first team.

Dan Pearse will become player coach and fitness coach , Dan has won this league twice already and again is based locally and has really bought into the way we want to do things this season. He’s an UEFA B licenced coach and is regarded as one of the countries top fitness coaches also which will help with again the path of improvement we want to make this year. On top of that he’s a top player at this level and I am delighted to have him here.

Sonny Gladdish is also staying with us in a coaching role as well as having worked with us for a few years now. Sonny will be helping develop some of the younger squad members this year adjust to senior football.

Finally Brannon Daly will take up a player goal keeper coaching role with the management team. Brannon is full time as an Arsenal training goalkeeper and is now working in their academy set up and is perfect to help develop the clubs young keepers. He is one of if not the best keeper in the league and I’m delighted he’s agreed to work alongside us this year.

We will be working with instant replay this year to help aid our work on the training ground and individual development and this is a tool I can’t wait to use personally and I thank Louis for his assistance this summer getting this all set up.

I will be adding two further staff in kit man and a physio once we get the right candidates come available for anyone interested please email Richard Tramontin.

There will be further announcements in the coming week with regards players as we now have the forms to sign people.

Please join me in welcoming the new and existing staff as i am sure this bodes well for the season.
