Matt - Horsham post match & Greenwich Boro preview

Another good performance on Tuesday night against a strong Horsham team vying for promotion. After Saturday’s game against Hastings United it was important we followed that up with another good performance. I felt out of possession we were excellent, we knew how they would set up and unfortunately lacked a bit of quality first half especially to open up what we saw as flaws in their armoury. In the second half we had two great chances which we should take and at the other end they haven’t had one shot in the whole game.

I was delighted with some of the young players again Tuesday with Mitch Chapman, Ollie Boulding and Leo Mazzone all doing well. Karn Miller Neave was MOTM and was excellent and Jack Bray deserves a big mention after Saturday and Tuesday where he was immense. The senior lads, certainly RJ, had a big influence in both games and have aided the younger ones and it’s important we recognise that also.

On Saturday we play Greenwich Borough, who are obviously fighting for their lives at the bottom, and it provides us with a different test. We must concentrate on what we're good at and match them for work ethic, as I’m sure they will be doing all they can to get points to stay up. We should have a full squad to choose from, although we wait on Leo Mazzone who came off injured Tuesday but we will asses that today.

The support again on Tuesday was brilliant and hopefully some of you can make the trip to Eltham on Saturday and help us push on even further in the table.

We have some very exciting news awaiting to be published about our next home game on Saturday 9th March, which I’m sure will bring in a crowd.  Keep your eyes out on the website and social media over the next 24- hours.
